About a 12-minute walk from the Hamamatsu Station on the Tokaido Shinkansen, Kaneta Chuemon, the specialized recycled kimono shop, offers rental kimono services, including dressing. If you fall in love with the kimono you put on, you can purchase it on the spot, a unique service offered only at the recycled kimono specialty shop. Why not try sightseeing in Hamamatsu wearing a kimono, a traditional garment that you should experience at least once when you come to Japan?

  • Yukata is a casual summer kimono.
  • Rental extension: additional charge of ¥2,200 (up to 3 nights max.)
  • If you like the kimono you wear, you can buy it as is. (an additional charge)
  • It's possible to wear a kimono in case of rain; however, you will be asked to wear the one specially used for rainy days.
