Shikisaido looks like an ancient house from the outside, and is a store for Japanese goods with two branches in Hamamatsu city and five in Shizuoka. There are many items that can help you enjoy the splendor of Japan's seasons, and others for enjoying its traditional culture. All of the items are made in Japan, and are handmade items collected from around Japan such as traditional pieces of art. You can find all sorts of Japanese goods here such as pottery, lacquer ware, towels, washi, Japanese interior fashion items, stationery, and seasonal decorations. There is also a special area for chopsticks, which is very popular, where you can find brilliantly lacquered chopsticks, and a huge variety of wooden chopsticks. Many seasonal events are held inside of the huge store, and there's also a free tea service offered after you purchase!
