Observe the finest Japanese craftsmanship at the piano factory with the aroma of wood
If you visit YAHAMA factory in Kakegawa, which is one of the most famous music instrument companies in Japan and started in Hamamatsu city, you can observe the manufacturing process of grand pianos. This 90 minute tour consists of an introduction video and a guided tour by one of the staff. You can see the craftsmen working with their traditional techniques of making pianos that has been passed down since 1900. Tours are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and reservations are necessary.
